Overview

Researchers from Battelle Memorial Institute independently evaluated JASON’s impact on standardized science test performance for over 70,000 students in 11 districts in Texas. The JASON districts showed significant improvements in all demographic categories, and outperformed the gains made by non-JASON students in Texas by notable margins, especially for underserved youth. For example, Title 1 students improved by 12.6%, Hispanic/Latino students by 11.8%, At-Risk students by 8.3%, and African American students by 6.6%. Overall, JASON districts outperformed non-JASON districts by over 10%.
